Disneyland!!

Today we went to Disneyland!! Super awesome!!

We renewed our annual passes & then spent the whole day in the park! All of the Halloween decorations were up and the whole place had that "holiday" feel to it. Vanessa had been calling everyday trying to get a reservation for the Blue Bayou. She finally was able to get us a table at 4pm. We even got to sit right on the water! How cool is that.

I think she looks really cute in this hat.

Mom decided to get an annual pass and come with us. She had a great time and didn't mind all the walking around and waiting in line at all. She said she'd love to come with us anytime so we will make sure she has plenty of opportunities.

Sixth Anniversary Dinner

Today was our sixth wedding anniversary! It seems like time is going by so quickly.

As is traditional we went to dinner at the Napa Rose in the Grand Californian accompanied by the Larkins and the Magees. As is our custom, Vanessa & I had the chef's tasting menu with a flight of wines. Once again the food was outstanding and the wines perfectly complimented each course.

On returning to the Magee's house we were happy to find Bill carefully "watching" the kids. ;->

House Party

Eileen came by for a "House" party, in which we sat around and watched episodes of "House" and just hung out. We had a great time & can't wait to do it again!

Beach Cottage

Lee & Vicki had some nights at the beach cottages at Crystal Cove. They were super generous and gave us a night there. It was exactly what we need to start putting this behind us and to relax. We had a nice dinner at the Beachcomber restaurant right there on the beach. Then we adjourned to our cottage opened a nice German Riesling and watched the sun set.

By 11 o'clock we were happy, drunk and ready to sleep.

It was a wonderful night. ;->

Wine

The Magees had us and the Larkins over for dinner and some wine tasting. Jaimo opened up a bunch of really nice wines for us to try. We were able to sample three different years of Nalle Zinfandel & had a really fantastic cab with the prime rib dinner.

The Road

While this particular journey has come to an end the road goes ever on....

I thought I'd write here about our journey with this pregnancy and how it came to its end but I am out of words and it seems that it has all been said. Rest in peace little one.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet,
And whither then? I cannot say.

Doctor check up

Today we saw Dr. Flores for a check up and to get the results of our 18 week ultrasound. All looks great. The baby is growing at the proper rate, his heart sounded good and I have only gained 8 pounds since I got pregnant. Not to shabby! I am still on modified rest though. I am back to work on light duty, but I still can't go for walks, do much house work (oh darn!), or any other strenuous activities. But, my placenta previa has been down graded to marginal. That means it is continuing to move away from the cervix. It is currently still at the boarder of the cervix, but it is no longer covering the cervical os (or opening). I will get another ultrasound in a couple weeks to see how it is progressing. Dr. Flores also said we should get our amnio results either today or Monday hopefully. She did indicate that the longer it takes for them to contact you, the less likely there is any issues. So we don't mind that we haven't been called yet. I'm pretty confident the results will be normal.

On Wednesday we got a great baby present from our friends, The Madigans. It is a sling rider for when the baby is an infant. We tried it out using Indy as our "baby". He didn't seem to mind and, in fact, seemed down right comfy. Pretty soon I'm going to have to clean up the guest room to get it ready to be the babies room. I think we are going to go with an animal theme.
